The Olive Branch Marsden Review by bluehobbit, 2019-11-21T00:00:00

Visited on a Sunday night.Would have preferred to have been take to table rather than stood milling around to order at the bar. Menu is good with plenty of variety but then we encounterd a reoccurring issue they had run out of loads of stuff. Specials on the board run out, Estrella - run out, Diet Coke - run out (i've never seen that before) a couple of dishes on the menu run out. When our food did arrive it was all decent - although: pet hate serving a massive lump of pate with 4 squares of very flimsy toast and setting the pate on salad leaves always annoys me. Main course, fish - roast dinners all decent. Good portions and well cooked. Ordered dessert and they had run out. Chose something else Parkin based sticky toffee pudding and it was probably the weakest part of the meal just too stodgy. It would have been a bit better with some ice cream but they had run out of Vanilla - i appreciate it might have been busy but to run out of so many items seems a bit odd. Waiting staff were pleasant. Despite the stock issues I would go back
