Having taken over a Betterclean franchise 10 days before the country went into the first COVID lockdown, you can imagine the challenges I was facing. I’m delighted to say that Dan, Mike, Abi and the team were great in supporting us through those critical first few weeks and months, and they showed the sort of flexibility you’d hope for when priorities were changing on a rapid basis. Above that the fact they were delivering the required assets in terms of method statements, changes to products, and guidance for customers accelerated our ability to adapt and respond to the challenges our own customers were facing. Since then I’m pleased to the say that they’ve struck the perfect balance between supporting and engaging, and giving the freedom and independence to get on and deliver. Prior to the actual takeover I think it’s fair to say that the same balance was achieved in supporting the take on and start up.
