Timpson Stirling, Morrisons Review by Angus R, 2020-10-15T14:04:08

I've never gone to Timpsons and ever once been disappointed - they so consistently go above and beyond to help, and always at very reasonable prices. However on this occasion I certainly wasn't expecting them to be the source of solution - my kilt was damaged quite badly by moths, almost to the extent of the kilt being completely unsalvageable; it has a lot of sentimental value so I was committed to getting it repaired even if it meant spending a bit of money on it. I was also due to be the best man at a wedding in a few weeks so I was completely in a bind. I had already been to several other tailors that were recommended for kilt repairs; all of them said that they wouldn't be willing to take the task on given the extent of the damage. While I was getting my wardrobe dry cleaned at Timpsons (because of the moths) I mentioned in passing that I was trying to get my kilt repaired: they offered to take a look at it. And sure enough Cath at Timpsons repaired it! She turned it around in the space of a week, and I was expecting a very large bill for her trouble but it only came to £40. The repairs, while noticeable if you examine it closely, have taken the kilt from something I would likely never wear again to something that I would happily wear at a wedding. The repairs are subtle enough that they even almost add character to it as something that I've owned for 10 years. Extremely grateful for her and her colleagues' help, and if I wasn't a loyal customer before then I am now! Great business with great people, and would always recommend them even for problems like this where you wouldn't necessarily expect them to be able to provide specialist help.
