North London Grammar School - "We were only at the initial stages of our franchising project with The Franchising Centre, when the Covid-19 crisis hit. As for many businesses, we have had to adapt and change how we do things. One thing we have valued above all is the importance of communication and maintaining momentum, so that our projects moving forward can still be achievable, even if timelines may need to be adjusted. Whilst there have been a number of decisions to be made regarding the economic impact on the business, we have valued the flexibility and informed approach taken by Farrah Rose throughout the project, irrespective of unprecedented circumstances, has enabled us to continue with our plans. Working remotely with Farrah Rose and Alan Wilkinson of TFC has provided extensive benefits. In terms of deliverables, we are on track and up to speed with all that we need to do to continue our franchising project. What has been a particularly unexpected benefit is that meeting remotely has provided us with more time with our TFC team. With no time spent on travelling, we are able to benefit from the extra online meeting time. We are also finding that meetings can be easily planned, with not too much time lapse in between each and the frequency of meetings is unlimited. This is providing us with a continued flow of informed and expert guidance during a very unsettled period, whilst as the same time, our costs have significantly reduced due to the savings in time and travel costs. We feel that, as far as we can, ‘business as usual’ during unprecedented times is an important approach to take, to reduce further anxiety within our workforce as well as providing some stability. The effectiveness of working remotely with Farrah and Alan has been highly beneficial to maintaining this approach both financially and strategically and will ensure our projects survive and are ready to deliver when the time is right.
