e have a 140 year old victorian house with no cavities and extremely porous bricks, which means damp! As part of our renovations I decided to 'paint' the outside walls with Clima Seal Masonry protection Creme and ordered 20 litres. I started at the top of the house with a roller but quickly realised that this was not the way to apply the product in my case as the brickwork is very uneven and the roller was missing most of the surface. Eventually I settled on a 2.5" brush which massaged the cream into all the crevices perfectly well. Smartseal say a litre covers 5 sq metres but I found thar even laying it really thick it covered much more than expected. This means I've got enough left over to do one of the sides (when I get round to it!). As the creme dries it brings out the colour of the brickwork making it really pop! It hasn't rained yet (I only applied it today) but as a user of Smartseal products for over 10 years I have absolute faith that it will work as expected.
