Trunk Logistics Grays Reviews
Don't bother with this bunch of clowns. They were supposed to conduct a telephone removal assessment, confirmed the time and date via email and text then didnt bother calling. They then proceeded to ignore my emails and txt and a call to a company mobile. Totally unreliable. Sh@t with a capital S
We moved from Suffolk to Cornwall Roughly 300 miles this was done over two days I.E Collected on Friday and delivered on Saturday. everything went like clockwork The removal men were great moved our furniture into Each room as instructed and could not have been more helpful .i would recommend trunk logistics to anyone looking to move house.
The office staff were really good too kept me informed all the way.
They would get the top marks for being completely:UnprofessionalRudeAfter money onlyRip offNot able to communicateIn adequate for carrying out good workWe had these guys move our items from A to B and they caused such a fuss over everything, from the job sheet and requirements of the actual job was asked to pay more for extra work which we had already discussed to be done yet they claim otherwise. In addition to that when I was trying to explain to their boss about the situation he interrupted me and said "you are really starting to annoy me" which left me completely surprised. The sofa was meant to be done and had to go back to my old place to pick up the legs and when I came back with the items they said we are not doing it now.Wth, please do not use these guys, complete rip off and always seem to ask for extra whilst on the job or stupid excuses with not told to this or that, like robots or something like that. Also a guy offered to do private work on the side, complete shambles!DO NOT USE THESE GUYS, LOOK ELSEWHERE
We moved house the guys rung me said we will be there at 9. They turned up on time and started to load the lorrys . They where very professional and helpful so all in all it was a very good experience
Well , firstly let me say, pat on the phone, what a lovely lady , we had some smashing chats!
Secondly, Kieron, another polite happy, no problem young man , so make sure you thank those two members of staff please ,
The young boys who did the move were fine,
Trunk logistics were on time (actually early which was great), fast, polite, hard working and very organised. The men I worked with on moving day were amazing. I can’t fault the service
We were very impressed with the quick and efficient manner out move was dealt with. It was a very hot day, but that did not slow down staff.
Great service on time and really calming in a stress time. Would totally recommend and use again
Great service from start to finish. Made the whole move as stress free as possible. Not a single item damaged.
work not hesitate to use again.
The team that arrived were very thorough and friendly. They did an amazing job getting us up and ready in our new home.
I booked this company for a small job - to move my daughters possessions from her rented flat to be stored in our garage prior to her moving to her new home. The quote seemed reasonable - more than a "man with a van" quote, but less than another from a major removal firm brand. I went for this as since the move was during lockdown, I wanted a professional service and was assured that the removal men would wear masks and gloves and maintain social distancing. This was an important consideration as my wife is shielding and I needed to ensure I was protected when supervising the removal of furniture.
On the day, I set off early at 8am on the 40 mile drive to my daughters flat to meet them at the agreed 10am time. Just as well I did, as I received a call at 8.30 from the foreman saying they had arrived and were waiting for me.
When I did arrive at 9am they were dressed in casual clothes with no PPE. I asked if they could wear masks and gloves and they said they had none. Reluctantly, as I had paid in advance, I had to allow them to proceed. Throughout the process they kept approaching me within 2 metres. They seemed in a rush and kept banging items of furniture into walls and carrying heavy items individually - far from professional. My daughters white bedroom furniture received several minor, but noticeable scrapes in visible areas which upset her. I soon realised I had paid a premium for an untrained "man with a van" service. The foreman told me that he was a gardener by trade and this was a sideline, which when I compared to professional removal firms I have used in the past was not a surprise to me.
When they arrived at my house to unload into the garage I watched from the window as they reversed and the front wheels of the van rode over the decorative wooden border that edges our drive, knocking it from it cemented base and splintering the wood. I went out to complain and the foreman apologised and proceeded to video the damage on his phone to show his boss. They then unloaded the van, but not before the foreman asked to come into the house the use the toilet - even though I had explained the shielding situation with my wife when both booking and when requesting they used PPE.
When they finished, they left and drove over another part of the decorative border. They stopped on the drive and I went out to meet them as I presumed they would be returning to apologise and take another video - but no, they just drove off.
My daughter and I then spent several hours disinfecting the furniture with antibacterial spray, noting that the stacking of furniture in the garage was very poorly done, with fragile items underneath heavy items.
I called later to complain about the service, particularly the damage to the drive and the lack of PPE. I was told (contrary to when I booked on the phone) that PPE was against health and safety rules and that they never use it. I was also told to get a quote for the repair work, which I did from the chap who originally installed it - it was £120. I forwarded it to Trunk Logistics and heard nothing, then chased and was told that the video evidence showed no damage was done. I explained that was incorrect and there was also other damage that wasn't videoed . They then told me that the video time stamp was only minutes before the van tachometer indicated the engine had started so they had in fact videoed the damage on exit. So they were basically accusing me of lying. I persisted and eventually the Operations Manager offered to have one of his staff to drive to use and do the repair himself. This was about 6 weeks ago. I called again last week to speak to the Operations Manager but he is not returning my calls.
In other words my advice would be to avoid this company. We eventually used a man with a van company near to me to move my daughter's furniture to her new place - it was over £200 less and the man and his mate were pleasant, courteous and professional. Plus they wore PPE and were careful with the furniture and my driveway. Lesson learned.
Great service, the guys were so helpful, polite and friendly, would definitely recommend 5 star service
