We had a water leaking from ceiling in the property we rented from them, it took them 6 months to action that, our furniture was ruined and we suffered chest infections due to damp all over the house. My son who was an year old back then had difficulty breathing. We didn’t know the law back then and they really abused us. They waited 6 months until the renewal of tenancy agreement. So if we were to leave the property they were ready to hold us accountable for the leak from ceiling ,it took them 6 months to fix the Leak and we literally had a bathroom without ceiling and bathroom flooded for whole 6 months. We were emptying 10L bucket each hour to catch the dripping water. They did nothing for those 6 months apart sending us a dehumidifier which was pointless as whole house was full of damp , furniture , mattress , walls , ceiling , cupboard and everything. Finally they also tried to charge us £4000 in damages when we left the property. However those damages were due to the water leak they neglected. Luckily I had a video , images and correspondence to the agency and landlord regarding that leak. This is how I took the case to Ombudsman services and fought a case for 3 months to prove that the damage to the property was caused by water leaks and finally the decision came in our favour. This agency will always support landlords only and once you have signed the contract. They d charge you for breathing in their office. They will introduce you to 100 types of different fees, especially be careful when you leave their property as this agency along with landlord , will do their best to squeez every penny out of your pocket in alleged damages. Please avoid them at any cost.
