We purchased nearly £3k worth of blinds and curtains from Dunelm using their made to measure service.We had a fitter out to measure the windows in question. The blinds took much longer than we were told at nearly nine months. They ask you to pay 50% up front with the final amount payable upon collection.During the 2 month wait £900 was taken from my account on 3 occasions even though I was told that this was "impossible". I was refunded and further duplicate payments were taken. As a result I had to put the payments into query and cancel my card.When the blinds finally arrived most of them were too big or too small for the windows and one was in the incorrect fabric. The store consultant throughout has been useless or not in the business and nobody else is able to access her system or information which resulted in long delays across the board. The store manager didn't bother to contact us for four days and offered to send a fitter out. At this point we were unconvinced that a fitter could make the blinds larger or smaller so asked for them to be collected.We were informed that once the blinds were collected that we would be sent a refund of just short of £2k. When I spoke with the store manager he advised that they weren't sure how to issue the refund as the original payment card had been cancelled- due to Dunelm repeatedly taking large sums of money that they weren't owed.I have now had to escalate to the area manager and have had no response.Please don't use this company it has been a total nightmare from start to finish and I have now spent countless hours and the phone and email. The attitude of staff is blasé and careless.
