Covid-19 has taken us into uncharted waters and, in running MagiKats, we have had to adapt quickly and amend our business to make it work online for both our customers, and the children we teach and also our franchisees. As a franchisor we quickly also recognised the opportunity and interest that might arise in the education sector, as children now had to be tutored at home. We also saw how the interest from parents in boosting their children's missing learning would positively impact our business. So we wanted to keep the promotion and advertising of our franchise going. We were able to have open and honest conversations throughout lockdown with our franchise consultants, The Franchising Centre (TFC), to see where they could advise and support our business. We moved from face to face Information Days to online meetings. We hopefully are now coming out the other side with the first new franchisee training course and plans to open all centres again in August and September. It's great to have franchise consultants who also run their own business and can be understanding and offer constructive advice. We are able to keep the lines of communication open to maintain a good working relationship.
