Jardine Motors Group Lancaster Land Rover Tonbridge Reviews
Like others have accurately identified, very helpful when trying to sell you a car, but after sales and handover absolutely shambolic. Multiple broken promises & real lack of attention to detail - despite working to their tight timescales so they can get the end of month bonuses. Would advise against this dealership, plenty of others in the area to spend your money with.
I have spoken with Danny from Lancaster LR and he was extremely helpful and apologetic. I will add more as they resolve
Warmly welcomed, talked through the requirements on service including addressing heavily corroded rear brakes and investigation into cooling light coming on.
All issues addressed on service as requested.
Although we are pleased with the sourcing of the car we are very disappointed with the hand over.
Not only was there no second key (which as of now is still unresolved despite multiple prompts) the promised repairs to paintwork were not done, the car did not appear to have been washed on the outside and the refuel warning light appeared immediately on leaving the forecourt. The latter issue, on a car priced above £30,000, just strikes me as pathetic.
In my experience they are good at selling apart from not knowing the product they are selling but after sales and support are not up to scratch and that is being polite and generous. Shocking service, car was in for 11 weeks solid for repair. Was lied to on several occasions. My initial review was positive and based on my pre delivery experience. Car purchases has covered just over 1,000 miles since purchase in December 2017 with numerous faults.
Whilst staff were friendly and professional, staff at Lancaster and Land Rover were inactive in addressing our concerns. Having had the crankshaft and engine fail on our car, Lancaster were happy to get the engine replaced at Land Rover's cost - however neither Lancaster nor Land Rover were willing to provide a free warranty (even for 1 year) on the new engine and workmanship.
Having had the first engine fail after just 11k miles we felt this was the least either could do to give us peace of mind the same issue would not occur again. After being pushed between Lancaster and Land Rover on a number of calls and meetings, Lancaster eventually agreed to a goodwill discount on a 1 year extended warranty - something we feel they should have been willing to give - as had they had confidence in their own product and workmanship such a warranty would have come at no cost to Lancaster or Land Rover.
The next day we had a phone call asking for additional contribution to the warranty! We also found half a dozen parts had not been put back on the car - they had been left with the bolts in the boot! We are currently awaiting to here how this has happened and when this will be rectified.
Ashley went out of his way to be helpful and make the experience of buying a car enjoyable. I particularly liked his demonstration of all the cars features. I feel like I was very well looked after.
I'd like to highlight Ashley as a great example of a calm and confident sales person that listened and understood well. He was friendly and able to cope with the clashes of opinion between me and my wife, back up career option in the diplomatic service perhaps?
He made things happen in days not weeks and explained all we needed to do.
And managed to do this while you were moving location.
I particularly liked the Sunday morning call [not too early] to see how we liked the car .
