Choices Sutton Reviews
No respect for the tenants, we signed to move into a property and I moved myself and most my possessions down from Leeds to walk into the office to discover the house was not available to move into. They showed no remorse for putting me in this situation and other employees in the office even found my situation amusing, truly disgusting behavior displayed by this organisation and they are not much short of criminally negligent.
My partner Linh and I have been taken care of extremely well by the wonderfully responsive, experienced and friendly Christina. She has helped us no-end from the moment we stepped foot into the Choices Sutton branch in finding and getting our first flat to rent. Other employees from Choices, such as the admin team have been very helpful and responsive to all questions thrown at them and have helped guide us through everything from start to finish. We both would like to say thank you to Choices and Christina in particular for making this as pleasant as possible. Their effective way of working meant that we are only moving in one week after we viewed the flat!
Had a good experience with choices in sutton. Dealt with Christina a very brilliant lady. The other staff is also very friendly and swift. I rented a house threw them and discovered they don’t let u down.
Thank you guys (especially Christina and Chris) for helping me with letting out three bedroom house, which is the efficient and pleasant service. It is the second time I use Choices services as the landlord and I would recommend Sutton team for everyone. I would give 6 stars out of 5. Keep it up guys and thank you for everything! Billy

She has no respect for tenants and walks in to the property with out any notice. We have asked on more than one action if she could at least knock on the door before entering.
Christiana Stacey at Choices, Sutton is extremely rude and just walks into the house without warning. She has no concern for the tenants and is rude whenever I speak to her.
Don't use her!!
The New Sales manager of CHOICES is a complete IDIOT & acts Like a Complete MORON!
He really Looks & Dress's like a TOILET CLEANER & is Extremely RUDE!
I think He would have DIFFICULTY Selling a HUT, never mind a property.
*REGARDING LETTINGS Manager in Sutton Branch, she cannot Legally enter into their Tenant's Let Property without First giving their Tenant's 24 Hour WRITTEN NOTICE in Advance and Failing to do so without 24 HR. WRITTEN NOTICE in Advance is in fact a BREACH of the Tenancy LAW and the Choices Lettings Manager can be Legally PROSECUTED in the Court of LAW .
*TO THE MANAGEMENT/OWNER, THIS IS MY RESPONSE TO YOU, IF YOU DON'T LIKE OUR REVIEW, THEN IT IS YOUR FULL RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE YOUR LETTINGS STAFF IN SUTTON BRANCH FULLY COMPLY WITH THE TENANCY LAW IN THIS COUNTRY.
THAT MEANS YOUR LETTINGS STAFF ARE NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED TO ENTER YOUR TENANT'S PROPERTY WITHOUT FIRST ISSUING THEM A 24 HOUR NOTICE IN WRITING AND ONLY WITH TENANTS PERMISSION CAN YOUR LETTINGS STAFF ENTER YOUR TENANTS PROPERTY WITH TENANTS PERMISION, OTHERWISE YOUR LETTINGS STAFF WOULD BE BREAKING THE TENANCY LAW FOR WHICH YOUR COMPANY AND YOUR STAFF COULD END UP IN PRISON.
*SHAME ON YOU & YOUR PATHETIC GREEDY COMPANY!
Very poor experience with sales team. They called us 3 times just to confirm if we were going to attend viewing. This was after we had already confirmed over email. Then nobody turned up to show around. We knocked few times at the door. No one answered.when we called office to let them know we can wait, but the agent from office said ' it's up-to you you wanna wait, I don't know if agent who was meant to show is running late, I can take a message. ' and wouldn't promise to call back to let us onow how long we need to wait. Absolute rubbish.
Admitted they had made mistakes on deposit deductions on phone in June, transferred the incorrect amount without agreement, ignoring emails since. Tenancy deposit protection claim filed.
Non-registration of utility bills £130 - Mistake admitted, not reimbursed.
End of tenancy cleaning £324 - Reluctantly agreed to high charges, refused to provide invoice.
Tenancy renewal fee £95 - Mistake admitted, not reimbursed.
Rubbish removal £160 - Reluctantly agreed to high charges, refused to provide invoice.
Inventory fee £95 - As per contract terms.
£804 deducted. Avoid.
I gave the keys to Christina on a Friday, by Saturday they had let my house. If you go by results, this is first rate is it not? I am sure that the tenant is happy and they have received also a first rate experience with Choices. I was on the market with another agent, who didn't do a thing so yes I am very happy with Choices and with Chris and Christina.
The worst experience with a company of any service I have ever dealt with! Choices offered us this 'perfect place' after a viewing. It took them a week to realise that 'apparently' there is a clause in the contract meaning we are ineligible for the place (baring in mind we only had two weeks before we starting work in the area and I personally don't believe the 'clause' exists but rather a tactic to financially reel us in with our deposit). They then found another 'perfect place' for us (in reality more expensive and worse) and told us to come down the Monday before we start work to sign the contract to get the keys and move in. We get there and we aren't allowed to move in because the building inspectors haven't approved the place yet (but ofc they didn't tell us that). They then say "well you can go round and have a look at the place anyway" so we trek 30 mins to find out no one is at the place and the guy with the keys is still at the office and just didn't realise (but again ofc they didn't tell us that). I then spend two nights sleeping in hostels whilst they are stringing us on saying it will be liveable hold on la di dah. There then became only 4 days left until we started work so eventually we had to cut ties from this absolute bs malarky we had been served and find a place ourselves. I am now currently still looking for a house share separate from my housemates without any help or compensation for hostels or anything from Choices. They are incompetent, rude, shameless and the absolute worst stereotype of an estate agent you can get.
I hope you are reading this Choices and I hope you learn from it x
The wonderful Christina and Choices have continued to do an amazing job and long may it continue !
Landlord and Seller with Chocies
We had a great experience renting a property with choices. Christina went above and beyond to help us. Any problems we had she sorted it out quickly and was very patient and understanding to our situation.
The other staff in the office were also very pleasant and helpful. Thank you, we love our new home 😃
Excellent. Can’t fault the service I have received from Choices Sutton. I would definitely speak to Christina first if I was looking for new tenants or thinking of making a sale or purchase in Sutton.
Avoid like the plague!!!
As someone that has been with various agency's over the years, choices has been a devastating experience.
Getting us a flat Richard was great and I can't fault him.
The company on the other hand, before we had even signed a contract. They changed all of the bills into our name which meant the landlord was un able to access his account and we were legally responsible before we even signed a deposit over. They sent our details out to third party suppliers so we were receiving calls for things like broad band for the property for several months again before we signed anything! When we asked the landlord about it, they had told him we had done it.
When trying to leave this property choices lived up to the nightmare. It took two months for us to get our deposit back from them. Whilst trying to deal with it they constantly told us the landlord wasn't playing ball. So we sat down with our landlord and called them. As predicted they tried to blame the landlord (who was a star in all this chaos) they got caught out lying persistently. After making me send my bank details to them several times, they wanted a forwarding address. I told them they needed to send it via transfer which they said was totally fine. A week later I received a cheque in the mail for half of my deposit and half for my partner. Now we finally have our deposit back we can attempt to find a new place again. I'd recommend avoiding this company as a tenant and a landlord!
The lettings team run a very dubious business that show total disregard to both tenants and landlords. I found them to be blase about real problems and actually began to snigger and mock when our concerns were explained. Seriously AVOID Choices
