Whilst staff were friendly and professional, staff at Lancaster and Land Rover were inactive in addressing our concerns. Having had the crankshaft and engine fail on our car, Lancaster were happy to get the engine replaced at Land Rover's cost - however neither Lancaster nor Land Rover were willing to provide a free warranty (even for 1 year) on the new engine and workmanship. Having had the first engine fail after just 11k miles we felt this was the least either could do to give us peace of mind the same issue would not occur again. After being pushed between Lancaster and Land Rover on a number of calls and meetings, Lancaster eventually agreed to a goodwill discount on a 1 year extended warranty - something we feel they should have been willing to give - as had they had confidence in their own product and workmanship such a warranty would have come at no cost to Lancaster or Land Rover. The next day we had a phone call asking for additional contribution to the warranty! We also found half a dozen parts had not been put back on the car - they had been left with the bolts in the boot! We are currently awaiting to here how this has happened and when this will be rectified.
