We have 2 leased cars for our business. Renewal of lease is around end of year. Normally between May and July we try to find replacement cars and start the process by shopping around. Honda offers 48 hours test drive for company car drivers. We took that offer for a CR-V. I rang them on the 30th of May and after they took my details, they promised to pass the info to the local dealer. In this case, Birmingham Honda. Sure enough, within minutes, I received a call back from the dealer confirming the date to send the demo car and asked me to send my license. A copy of the email is attached. Name and email address removed. So far so good. I sent them the license but never heard back from them. 2 days before delivery date, I emailed them to double check if everything is as scheduled but there was no reply. Another email 1 day before delivery and again no reply. So I rang them up and I was told the person is busy and that they will call me back. Never happened. On the day itself, I rang them up and I was told the person in charge doesn't work on that day and that someone will check and get back to me. I rang Honda UK and I was shocked that the person told me there is nothing on the system indicating that there is a demo car booked for our company. Though he admitted that my details are on their system!!! Shocking!! An hour later, I received a call from the dealer in Birmingham and someone told me that sorry the car has been sold!!! They will arrange another car and get in touch. Never happened of course. Very good indication of how the treatment would be after sales.
